Par contre pour le mélange du travail de la force et du Crossfit il y a plusieurs choses intéressantes.

Les wod de Crossfit Football et ceux proposés par Rob Orlando (orienté strongman):
The time has come to break our silence
An attack has taken place online by individuals full of resentment, by masters in distorting our thoughts and actions, by those who now call us “enemies of crossfit”.
But are we indeed as some try to portray us as?
Did we not help organize Europe’s first certs and many subsequent others? Weren’t we on the frontline when crossfit was an unknown concept in our part of the world? Were we not gracious hosts to all level 1 trainers without exception? Did we not organize Europe’s first sectionals? Didn’t we help people with little means, start their boxes by providing them with crazy discounts? Heck, did we not sponsor some of the world’s best athletes like Blair Morison, Annie T, Svein, Richard, Deuses, Lacee, Mikko A, Caroline, Frederick Aegedius, Elvar, Numi by providing them with all the equipment necessary for full and efficient training?
We helped many friends by sponsoring their (inter) box competitions throughout Europe, we never failed to help even when things were hard. We helped them with newspaper and television coverage and demos at fairs. And we didn’t do it only for the possible (legitimate) financial gains. Claims that we aim to destroy crossfit are just that: malicious and ridiculous!
To us, crossfit is an amazing, marvellous discipline. It is exciting yet functional. As stated in page 4 of the level 1 training guide, CrossFit is “… an open source, making co-developers out of participating coaches, athletes, and trainers through a spontaneous and collaborative online community. CrossFit is empirically driven, clinically tested and community developed”.
If this is indeed an open source as stated, would it not be fair to say that we may all add to its improvement? Would it not be a good idea to remain open to great coaches and other professionals who may have something positive to add? If it is indeed an open source, why all the efforts to keep it a monopoly? How many have been shunned out for daring to voice other thoughts? Should it not be open to possible innovations brought by it daily by members of this community?
HQ’s personnel in Europe claim that if the term CrossFit is vulgarized, then everyone can use the name, potentially damaging it (Globo trainers for example). Couldn’t the same be said about the number of poorly trained CrossFit trainers that have almost no experience training themselves, let alone other people? Does the work of said trainers contribute to damage the name CrossFit? Has the brand not flourished regardless? It is our opinion, that the definition “sport of fitness” warrants that the methodology is freely improved upon by coaches, professionals from around the world without having to pay an obligatory fee or worst, having to silence their own ideas or criticism.
In our view, although the use of the Crossfit term by globo trainers may or may not cause damage, the title “the sport of fitness” requires that coaches all over the world continue to develop and improve upon this training methodology, freely. Many have understood through trial and errors that you may talk about CrossFit but it does not mean you know what it is, let alone give proper classes. As Glassman himself said, “ the cream will raise to the top”.
We are not against CrossFit as a training methodology. We are against the idea that such a great sport refuses to respond to the inevitable developments in every market, which may in the end limit its further development.
In our opinion, inhibiting people from using the term outside of HQ would be the same as not allowing people to use the term Judo as Judo! Many may not know this but Judo as a discipline was born from a revisited “ idea of Jiu Jitsu, which was “contaminated” by other forms of martial arts just like CrossFit incorporates elements of many different sports. Nevertheless, Judo as we know it, made its entry at the Tokyo Olympics of 1964.
We want CrossFit to make it to the Olympic Games one day! CF competitions are such inspiring events! Imagine watching them unfold within the walls of an Olympic stadium like the one inaugurated today in London. Imagine fans screaming; imagine 1 billion people watching all over the world? There are no words!
Imagine what would happen if crossfit as it is currently positioned had been accepted at the Olympics:
a. The Olympic committee would have to pay royalties for the right to have it at the games;
b. Athletes would have to pay to compete;
c. The media would have to pay royalties for the right to speak or broadcast about CrossFit;
I could go on but I believe you get the gist.
To us this is simply unthinkable! We love CrossFit the training methodology!
Our judicial battle is based on our love for something we believe should be a common heritage where everyone is allowed to contribute positively with the best innovations, for the greatness of the sport.
This is our dream and these are our intentions.
These are dreams we have had since CrossGym’s inception in 2008, since we opened the equipment shop in 2009 and since we earned our spot on HQ’s own list of CrossFit apparel suppliers. Yes, you have read right, our name and line of business has been the same for years now.
Contrary to dubious and malevolent suggestions, it isn’t our intention to substitute Crossfit for CrossGym. We are in the business of selling sports equipment to many including the CrossFit community.
We are the same. In 2008 and now.
GOOD LUCK TO MATTEO ANGIOLETTI - CROSSGYM® CANTU’ TRAINER - COMPETING AT LONDON 2012
P.S. we look forward to an adult and respectful debate with the community. Please note that profanity and other forms of insult will not be tolerated. Violators will be banned.

Some Crossfit training can be a part of some of your workouts

Le concept n'est plus vraiment nouveau
Il y avait des rumeurs d'ouverture d'une section Crossfit au Club de Gym Euralille, mais plus de nouvelles depuis 1 mois (l'ouverture était prévu pour octobre 2012).
