Silicone en spray.
<< The 3 most common service issues we experience related to homegyms are: 1.) Weight stacks that seem to stick while traveling up the guide rods, 2.) Cables that stretch over time resulting in too much slack, and 3.) Cables that fray or break over time or under heavy use/abuse. The first common problem is an easy one to remedy. The 2 chrome or stainless steel guide rods on any homegym will get dirty and dry over time. Simply buy a can of Dry Silicon Spray from our nearest retail location or your local hardware store. You will need to spray some of this silicon onto the guide rods periodically. Do this with an old T-shirt or rag, and wipe down any excess silicon spray. Our general rule of thumb is to lightly coat the guide rods once each month, or whenever you experience a somewhat sticky motion while using your homegym. >>
